With plenty of WesBank Super Series events done and dusted in the Raceweb archive from yester year, we decided to mix things up a bit this time around by covering this event in a little more detail rather than a “general” whole. We recently announced that Ronald Slamet aka The Red Baron #68, a regional and national superbike racer, would be flying the flag high as a Raceweb Speed Star ambassador. The day indeed came on the 22nd of September 2012 at the Cape Town leg of WesBank Super Series at Killarney race track. It was an exciting buildup to the race as Ronald is the first of many SpeedStar ambassadors. The third round of the Drift Africa drivers search will take place on the Killarney oval from 6pm and run through till about 9pm, this event is for drivers wanting to score points in the Drift Africa championship for 2012. Sit shotgun with Ebrahim Levy (A45) in his Midas Clubmans Jive BMW M3 on the opening lap of the last race at the September Wesbank SuperSeries at Killarney Raceway. The car was recently acquired so it's still a work in progress. You can see the way he has to fight the over steer out of the corners. Makes for fun driving though...

5 May 2012 saw some of the cape’s bravest exotic drivers rip up the roads between Cape Town, Worcester and Robertson on the Powerrun Series 1. The vehicles were dressed by Wrapmaster Vinyl Technology whist teams enjoying an amazing breakfast at the 5 star luxury Pepper Club Hotel and Spa.

Spear headed by the insane Mark B of EIPSA`. He piloted his Ferrari F430 Spyder and roped the likes Andre of Team Los Lambos in their Lamborghini Merceilago, the Calvert men definitely brought the heat with amazing Porsche 911 and the road eating Audi TT Ltd, who rattled the cage of the Lexus ISF on the passes...[more]

The kpgc10 or “Hakosuka” is one of THE most famous Skylines to date. Its rich racing heritage and unique looks make it a very special car even in today's times. Its raw straight six naturally aspirated motor still gives petrol heads goose bumps. While it is a rare sight in South Africa, it might not be as rare on a smaller scale.

This Fujimi Takahashi kpgc10 was built by Raees Amien. A model builder from Cape Town that is indeed a petrol head but particularly on a smaller scale. As he is a huge Japanese car fan it was only right that he built one of these bad boys but adding his own flair to make it a little more unique. So what has he done? [more]
