Just
hours ahead of the penultimate round of the Wesbank super series,
Killarney Raceway in Cape Town has begun to welcome all the
teams from around South Africa. Raceweb.co.za was first to witness
the arrival of Team Afrox BMW, Team Pirtek and well as Team
Mini Motorsport as they prepare for the showdown that lie ahead
for tomorrow’s day of racing.
Taking a walk down the pit lane, RaceMasteR J and I quickly
noticed the camp setup of the BMW and Mini teams…extremely
well organized and prepared as one would expect from anything
with German heritage.
With new and more aggressive looking front bumpers, the two
Afrox beasts lied in wake as final preparations and fuelling
was made ahead of the first practice session.
Since its launch onto the track earlier in this year, ADF Motorsport
have made significant improvements to the setup as well as the
performance of their two Afrox F30 BMW 335i’s, and the
long straights of Killarney will be the perfect place to demonstrate
the evolution of these two awesome machines.
Coming off some mechanical issues following the last Zwartkops
round in Joburg, the Castrol Mini’s are back and ready
to throw a spanner in the works of the more established Ford’s
and VW’s of the world.
The second round at Killarney is anticipated to be one of the
season highlights, so be sure to track all the movements of
Team ADF Motorsport with their Team Afrox BMW‘s right
here on Raceweb.co.za, first and exclusive.
