After last year’s successful inaugural Raceweb Interclub Battle, it dawned upon me that a year has gone by already and it was time for yet another event. I quickly booked a date with Kenilworth Karting and set off to get things going. The clubs who took part in last year’s challenge were given first option to participate once again. Come the 9th of October 2016 Cape Town’s top car clubs will battle it out at Kenilworth Karting in an epic endurance race against the clock over 2 hours. Internationally celebrated Red Bull athlete and drift racer, Mike Whiddett, popularly known as “Mad Mike”, will have Grand West Casino lit as his South African tour hits the shores of the Mother City on Saturday 17 September 2016. Supa Drift is back! Well, not the national event, but the Western Cape Regional one. Held in conjunction with the WPMC Killarney short circuit or half main event on the oval, the Supa Drift side of the day surely plugs some much needed excitement into the overall event. Short circuit comprises of Formula M, 125cc superkarts, NSF 100 and 150 Senior and junior bikes – and now more recently, drifting. [more]

2 X RSA National Drift Champion Jason Webb (22 from Noordhoek, Cape Town) represented South Africa in front of 35 000 people at the notorious Gatebil Rodskogen event In Norway. Gatebil is known as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious drift track days in the world featuring top drift drivers from around the globe. [more]

Attending the 2016 Jaguar Simola Hill Climb was exciting as always as it is in my opinion South Africa's premier motorsport event. We've been covering the hill climb since it started and we can definitely say the organisers have turned it into a world class event!
