Odyssey
Garage's R33 Nissan Skyline GTR Owner & writer: Otis < back The chassis is a Yokomo MR-4TC SD SSG (silver surface graphite) 4WD, and features front and rear universal drive shafts, anodized aluminum threaded shocks, front and rear stabilizers, solid rear diff, one-way front diff, Odyssey Garage drift tyres, and a super stock 23 turn Tamiya motor. I’ve recently added shorter rear suspension arms and universals to accommodate some really wide Kawada rims. The shorter arms were necessary to make the chassis and wheels fit snuggly under the R33 body. Rims used for the photo shoot are HPI TE37’s, Tamiya 2-piece mesh rims, and of course Kawada wide and narrow meshies, that were specifically imported from Japan for this R33 Skyline. The Odyssey Garage R33 is the eighth member of my little Nissan collection. So far I have a silver “street” S15 Silvia, a black Top Secret S15 Silvia, a black and orange HKS S15 Silvia, an R32 Skyline, a candy red 180SX, and 2 shells that are not yet painted, an ER34 Blitz Skyline and another Top Secret S15 Silvia. Next on my list is a RS-30 Skyline (looks just like our local 2.8 GTX). |
