I decided to deviate from the standard red and white paint scheme on the original car, and instead opted for a candy blue colour. The blue I chose has since become the official team colour of the Odyssey Garage Drift Team… you’ll be seeing a few more of these “Odyssey blue” cars in the near future :)

The look of the car was intentionally kept plain, without too many flashy decals and sponsor logos. I felt that these might detract too much from the classic old school look of this Skyline.

For the headlights and tail lights I used Yokomo R34 light housings. A fair bit of persuasion was required to make them fit though. But as you can see, the end result was well worth the effort. I also added a Yokomo twin exit exhaust for some added realism. The finished car features working headlights and brake lights (courtesy of a custom electronic speed control that incorporates the brake light circuit).
