FESTIVAL RACES

The Mother City will host the Fords and Friends Festival on 8 September, 2012 at Killarney – the third instalment which follows successful events in Port Elizabeth and East London. We expect close to 200 competitors for this year’s event, beating the number of entries from the previous two events. Top class saloon car drivers and cars will do battle in various categories for the
prestigious titles.

ENTERTAINMENT

A Ford fan park, which will feature new showroom cars, vintage cars, muscle cars as well as race cars, will be on show on Saturday.

Fans will be able to purchase memorabilia ranging from caps, t-shirts to model cars as well as various other goods. Live music will be on offer in the beer garden during the afternoon giving fans time to relax in between the track
action.

Special Ford parking will be allocated to all Ford motor vehicles on race days with various spot prizes allocated throughout the weekend. To make the race cars more accessible to fans, all Ford competition vehicles will pit in a dedicated area where the fans will be able to mingle with the drivers and have pictures and autographs taken.
