MURDERED OUT

It’s just as we had feared. Released only moments ago for ‘good behaviour’, and already we have a ‘murder’ on our hands. Flashing lights, sirens, police evidence markers and crowd control tape; it’s all there. By Jason Sasman. Photography by Tauriq Abrahams.

It’s just as we had feared. Released only moments ago for ‘good behaviour’, and already we have a ‘murder’ on our hands. Flashing lights, sirens, police evidence markers and crowd control tape; it’s all there, signs from our crime-scene that yet another victim has had parts of its body gruesomely and deliberately hacked off, and replaced with larger...more powerful foreign objects. Decked out in Black-on-Black paint scheme for the perfect “Murdered Out” look...this ride is another statistic in the relentless pursuit of killer power from an innocently light body. The victim: A clean cut, mint conditioned 1995 Honda Civic EG6. Still sporting its factory issued black paintwork. Sadly, its only the paintwork that remains intact ,as the rest has been ripped out and gutted to save weight, as well as to fit in bigger and better parts.

The Accused: Morne’ Cloete, age- unknown, owner of import parts company Tuner Connexion and convicted speed-demon. With a record as long as the arm of the law itself, Morne’s ‘Mr-Meaners’ include: Owning a seriously hot Honda S2000, being the ‘go to’ guy that brings in seriously hot import parts into SA and of course having close ties with well known ‘Power Mafia’ tuners GSR Developments. He is what the law refers to as a ‘Serial Kilowatt’.
